Gordon Lee Middle School is part of the Chickamauga City School District. We are a public school serving grades 6-8 with a current enrollment of around 350 students.

The background of the Chickamauga City School District is overflowing with historical influences. Gordon Lee High School, Gordon Lee Middle School, and Chickamauga Elementary School are all located on the same campus. The campus lies just outside the Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park. This park is the oldest and largest military park in the nation. Beside the school is one of the south's most beautiful antebellum estates, the Gordon-Lee Mansion.

While many of the system's buildings were built in the early 1900's, Gordon Lee Middle School was constructed in 1991. Although the building is relatively new, the philosophy of the school is established on traditional values and high standards for students. This philosophy was put into place in the system years ago and has provided the community with a long-standing reputation for academic excellence.
