Gordon Lee Middle School

Gordon Lee Middle School, part of the Chickamauga City School District, serves students in grades 6–8 and currently enrolls approximately 315 students.

At GLMS, our mission is built on the belief that a "Tradition of Excellence" is sustained through a culture of high expectations and academic rigor. We are committed to instilling GRIT in every student, teaching them that true success comes from the perseverance to overcome adversity and the courage to meet every challenge head-on. 

GLMS offers a strong academic curriculum, including rigorous honors classes, an advanced language arts program and opportunities to expand knowledge through connections classes and the Trojans Excellence Development (TED) program. Students are encouraged to grow beyond the classroom through extracurricular activities, leadership opportunities, and character-building experiences. Through athletics, band, and a variety of clubs, students develop teamwork, discipline, creativity, and leadership skills that prepare them for success both inside and outside the classroom. 

Our incredible faculty is passionate and committed to helping students succeed. They create engaging lessons that challenge students to think critically, foster a nurturing environment where every student feels valued, and provide individualized guidance to help students reach their full potential. Beyond the classroom, our teachers mentor students, encourage participation in extracurricular activities, and model the values of leadership, integrity, and perseverance that define Gordon Lee Middle School.
