  • 6th Grade Supply List
    2025 - 2026

    Please come with the following supplies your first day of school:

    General Supplies Needed for All Classes ALL YEAR:

    • box of pencils
    • 2 Locks OR 2 carabiners for lockers – required
    • cap erasers
    • 1 box colored pencils (12 pencil size)
    • 1 box “skinny” markers
    • Inexpensive headphones (with plug OR wireless)
    • Notebook paper to refill binders/folders during year
    • ink pens – red pen AND choice of blue/black
    • highlighters
    • pair of scissors
    • handheld pencil sharpener
    • zippered supply pouch to store your supplies

    Supplies to give 2nd period teacher:

    • Box of facial tissue
    • 1 container sanitizing wipes (Clorox wipes)
    • Optional Wishlist Item – individually wrapped candy for class prizes
    • Optional Wishlist Item – glue sticks for classroom extras
    • Optional Wishlist Item – (Boys) roll of paper towels
    • Optional Wishlist Item – (Girls) box of pencils for classroom extras

    Language Arts:

    • 1 inch 3-ring binder – with notebook paper (specifically for this class)
    • Dividers for binder, already labeled: Word study, Classwork, Resources (in that order)
    • 1 pack of plastic sheet protectors

    Math:

    • 1 composition book (specifically for this class)
    • 1   1 inch 3 ring binder  (specifically for this class)
    • 2 expo markers (Black)
    • glue sticks (specifically for this class)
    • Optional different colored expo markers

    Science:

    • 1 3-ring binder – at least 1-inch or larger, with notebook paper (specifically for this class)
    • 1 pack of dividers, already labeled: Warm-up, Vocab, Notes, Classwork, Graded Work (in that order)
    • glue sticks (specifically for this class)
    • Optional: Baggies of any size or AAA batteries

    Social Studies:

    • 1 composition book (specifically for this class)
    • 1 Binder – ½ inch OR 1 inch binder with 3 rings with notebook paper (specifically for this class)

    Gifted:

    • 1 plastic FOLDER with pockets (specifically for this class; any color except those used by another class) with notebook paper; folder will remain in classroom
    • Students will need to bring a pencil every day or leave a supply in their folder.

    Please come with the following supplies on the first day of school:

    General Supplies Used for All Classes:

    • Pencils
    • Markers
    • Colored Pencils
    • Wired Headphones (NOT wireless or Bluetooth)

    These supplies will need to be restocked as necessary throughout the year.

    Supplies to be turned into 1st period teacher:

    • 2 packages of 24 count or higher pencils
    • 2 packages of cap erasers
    • 3 boxes of Kleenex
    • 1 canister of Clorox Wipes

    Math:

    • Package of dry erase markers (4) – (to be left in class)
    • 1 inch 3-ring binder
    • 5 dividers for the binder
    • 1 blue 3-prong pocket folder
    • Texas Instruments TI-36XPro calculator is highly recommended and will be used for 7th and 8th grade.

    Science:

    • 1 inch 3-ring binder with pencil pouch
    • 5 dividers for the binder
    • Graph Paper
    • Glue sticks
    • Colored Pencils
    • Composition Book
    • Highlighters

    Language Arts:

    • 1 inch 3-ring binder
    • 5 dividers for the binder
    • Copy of The Outsiders by SE Hinton (optional but recommended)
    • 1 book of 4 x 6 lined sticky notes for independent and class reading

    Social Studies:

    • 1 inch 3-ring binder
    • 5 dividers for the binder
    • Highlighters
    • Composition Book
    • Yellow 3-prong pocket folder

    TED

    • 1 pack of pencils – to be left in class

    Gifted:

    • Highlighters
    • Folder with Pockets

    Connections:

    • P.E. clothes: T-shirt, shorts and PE shoes
    • Optional: Combination Lock

    Summer Reading:

    Before the first day of school on August 6, you will be expected to read 2 books from the list of options below. At the beginning of the year, you will complete a project over the books you chose. This is not for extra credit:
